Another week has come and gone, it still amazes me how quick time flys now that we have children. The boys have had a pretty eventful week. We got together with a friend who has a son that is 10 days older than the boys. The boys just starred at each other in their jumpers, then went on a nice walk. We have been blessed with a great spring here in the PNW, many days in the 70's, a couple days reaching 90.
I made my first batch of homemade baby food this weekend, sweet potatoes. The process was so much easier than I once thought! The boys really enjoyed the potatoes, much more than the rice cereal. We have also started giving them a very small amount of water in sippy cups to practice coordination. The boys have already started wanting what the other has, even though its the same object. They were sitting in their bumbo chairs fussing and reaching for each others cups, I couldn't help but laugh.
Liam started rolling over, from back to stomach, this week. It amazes me how quick they catch on. He started off rolling over twice a day, with a lot of effort. Now today, every time he is placed on his back he rolls over so quickly. He is so proud of himself after accomplishing the task. He instantly starts smiling as soon as he rolls over! Owen hasn't rolled yet, instead he has just watched and tries to hoard all the toys to himself! Liam has always been the first to complete milestones, with Owen a few days behind. It wouldn't surprise me if Owen starts rolling this week.
We were able to go on our first little family adventure the other day to Chambers Bay. We were able to get a short walk in before the boys both needed to eat. It takes a lot of time and prep to get out of the house and drive to a destination 45 minutes away, I was exhausted before we left the house. It was so nice to enjoy the sun and just be together though. Our dog, Aubree, even tagged along and was able to play in the off leash dog park; which was much needed as she has been a wild beast since the boys were born.
Today we celebrated Jeff's Grandpas Birthday. It was the first 'party' the boys have been to. They did fairly well, considering all the noise and all the people who just wanted to hold them. Its so fun to see all the love the boys are surrounded by. We are so very blessed to have so many family members involved in the boys life.
On to the start of a new week and new month!
Have a great week!
